Alison Wright (born in England) is an English actor. The Americans is her most known role. For this, she was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award and received much critical acclaim. In addition, she has starred in Ryan Murphy's limited series Feud which is titled Bette & Joan & Hollywood. Wright was born on the 12th of July 1976, in Sunderland. The parents she adopted raised her there. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She was educated at New York City's Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and The Barrow Group. She worked as a waitress as she auditioned for parts. When she went scuba diving at sea - an interest of hers she had a cardiac attack which put her patient in a condition that was similar to one in an in-hospital state of coma.
